R.E.M. veröffentlicht das 6-DVD-Set 'REMTV'

Die Kultband R.E.M. beglückt ihre Fans mit einem Set bestehend aus 6 DVDs. Am 21. November 2014 veröffentlicht Warner Music Entertainment die DVD-Box mit Material aus der goldenen MTV-Ära! Die erste DVD zeigt die beiden Auftritte beim "MTV Unplugged" (1991 und 2001). 4 DVDs bietet neben dem 1998er Auftritt bei VH1 "Storytellers" weitere Livemitschnitte und Auftritte, z.B. MTV Award-Verleihung , die Aufnahmezeremonie in die Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (2007) oder zwei Gratiskonzerte in Köln (2001) und Athen (2008).

Den eigentlichen Kern des DVD-Sets repräsentiert die 6. DVD, auf der sich die brandneue Documentary "R.E.M. By MTV" befindet. Anhand exklusiver Aufnahmen wird noch einmal die gemeinsame History von R.E.M. und MTV in Echtzeit nachgezeichnet.
